Do you think that it is possible to stop feeling...to be numb...I'm pretty sure that is where I am at right now. There is so much here that makes me not able to find the good in people anymore...to automatically think that everyone is out to hurt me. I don't like it. I want to feel compassionate again...to care...to just plain feel...

So I guess the one thing in life that I really need right now is someone to sit with me in silence. Someone to say that no matter what is going on in my head...they care enough to just be with me. I find that in my life people like me when I am happy and I am alone a lot when I am sad... just an observation.

Things are going okay right now...work is busy as it will be forever.

Things here are going pretty well. I wish that I had money, but don't we all. One of the cool things I got to do this week was meet Condi Rice and shake her hand in the state department. I went with Alex for his father's going away party there and she was speaking on his behalf. How cool is that?!?

One of the things I have been struggling with lately is that I miss home. I miss the conversations with family and def. my sisters. I miss Sam and watching her grow and yelling my name as I walk towards her. I just want you all to know that I love you so much.

So..it's been a long time since I have posted. I didn't forget that I had one of these things...I have just been super busy. Work is crazy right now because we just passed one of our deadlines and there is a lot of student material that I had to process. Plus we are trying to prepare for the summer knowing that three of the six people who are usually there will not be due to pregnancy. Outside of work things are busy too...

I spend a lot of my time with girl Alex or boy Alex. She is one of my best friends here and I force her to work out with me and hang out with me;). Boy Alex is a guy that I am dating for now, but we are kinda experiencing some hard times because often times I push people away or keep them at a safe distance when my heart is involved.

Everthing here is going pretty well. I just joined Bally Total Fitness with a FREE 8 week membership...can't beat that:) and I have been working out hard core. My days pretty much are work, workout, sleep...sometimes drink :)

So it's been awhile since I have last posted. I told you guys that I was really bad at this whole blogging thing. Here's an update

Things have been going pretty well here and I have been suprisingly happy...around myself and with others. I have made a couple new friends and we have hung out twice this week. Plus I have plans for the weekend, which is a great feeling.

I have lived here two months now and it is slowly becoming home. Although home truly will lie with my family, I think I can make a second home for myself here. I love the city, people-watching is a fun little sport, and spending time with myself has proved to be an amazingly peaceful thing.

Aside from all of that, Thanksgiving was good. I loved spending time with the "new" family and the old...despite the spats... The visit with my mom went as well as one could have expected. It's hard for me to consider her as a mother or even as a part of my life. swirling thoughts...

eh well I need to get back to work...LOVE
